“About the Girl Who Became a Soldier”

Polish publishing house offered me to illustrate a Russian folk tale for the collection "Tales of Europe," and I agreed. I must admit that before this project, I had never heard of this tale, and I couldn’t find it anywhere except in this Polish version. I was tasked with creating a few small illustrations, which I enjoyed very much, as I usually work on large-scale projects that take a lot of time. In my opinion, the illustrations turned out well, and I managed to convey the spirit and color of a Russian folk tale.

The illustrations were created using watercolor on paper.
